 width=Because it’s meal time, we thought we’d excite your taste buds with something that can’t be refused, something that is indispensable in any kitchen, regardless of whether it’s the kitchen of a restaurant or of a perfect housewife.

The potato, because we will talk about it.

We all know it, worship and appreciate it.

Who hasn’t enjoyed fried potatoes with garlic or baked with cheese, or… infinite other combinations?

You will say… well, but everyone knows how to fry a potato. What’s such a great philosophy?

We will try to give you some tips on how to transform a simple portion of fried potatoes into a delicious meal!

  • Fry the potatoes in hot oil. If it is not hot enough, they will soak in the oil.
  • Before frying them, they must be rinsed with cold water and drained well.
  • In the dish in which they are to be taken out, put several napkins to absorb the excess oil.

  • Put a cube of butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder in a large (really large) bowl. Then drain the oil from the potatoes and mix well (give them a short Harlem Shake). The operation is repeated for each portion.
  • The time required to bake some potatoes in the oven is about….1h. It depends on how big the potatoes are. We do it faster than that. The operation is simple. Wash the potatoes, wipe off the water and cut them in half; put them in the pre-heated oven and test them with a fork when they have caught a crust. If the fork goes in… it’s done.

  • Half of the baked potato is hollowed out about 80%. Place the removed potato pulp in a larger bowl, add butter, salt, pepper, grated cheese or mozzarella. Fill the potatoes back and leave in the oven for another 2-3 minutes, enough to melt the cheese. You can add olives, corn kernels, bacon, whatever you want!
  • Or… Half a baked potato is hollowed out and a raw egg is placed in the space created. Place in the oven until the egg is cooked.

  • Another delicious option is baked potato with rosemary. In other words, put the potatoes cut into larger cubes (not for soup), rinsed and dried, in the oven tray. Add olive oil (not a ton, because we don’t boil them in oil, a little on the bottom of the pan), salt, pepper and a few sprigs of fresh rosemary from the garden or from pots. We just have to turn them with the spatula so that they brown on all sides.

If we were to try to make a list of the way and ways in which the potato is prepared, we are convinced that the fried potato is at the top! It is the most delicious!
