Cook chicken souse with polenta!

 width=Food is definitely a passion for anyone because every person has a bit of gourmand hidden somewhere.

Well, for all those who want to eat well but also eat healthy, there is the recipe for chicken souse with polenta. This is not a very complex recipe and is accessible to every person, cooking in only 60 minutes.

For this main course you need:

  • chicken meat (both legs and wings)
  • 800 gr cloves of garlic
  • 5-6 pcs green bell pepper
  • 2 pcs red pepper
  • 1 pc hot pepper
  • 2 pcs tomatoes
  • 4 pcs onion
  • 1 pc dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar (not balsamic)
  • 1 tablespoon white wine
  • 50 ml oil
  • salt and pepper

Start by cutting the meat in several places so that it can cook very well on the grill, and then you will grease it with oil. After this, you will be able to sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper, but also with thyme and sweet paprika, to taste.

You will place the meat, the peppers, the onions and the tomatoes directly on the grill because this way the flavor of the meat will be much more intense and tastier. After they have “prepared” enough, all you have to do is cut them julienne, but the hot peppers must be cut smaller, because their taste is much stronger. Also, it would be best to crush the tomatoes with a fork.

In a smaller saucepan you will then add two cups of water, in which you will put and soak the vegetables that you have cut. You will gradually add the vinegar and white wine, and at the end you will add a little salt and pepper. This mixture will boil for about 10 minutes, after which you will add the crushed garlic. Leave everything on fire and the best and most practical thing would be to prepare the polenta during all this time, which, of course, is no longer a secret for real housewives, not even for those who are just starting to learn!

After the souse is ready, you will put everything over the chicken, and you will cover the respective dish with a lid for about 30 minutes. Attention: the souse must be put on hot chicken and not cold!

How do we serve this kind of food? Well, the best way to serve this dish is with hot polenta.

You could make several types of plates, if you want your plate to be more than tasty, to be presentable as well. For example, you can put the polenta with a cup, in the middle of the plate, and all around, the chicken in the souse.
