Cantacuzino Castle… and the story comes to life…

The colossal construction dates back a century, being completed in 1911 by the famous architect Grigore Cerchez on the orders of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino. Inside the Cantacuzino Castle, you will be carried on the waves of history, feeling at least for a moment that you are part of the formerly bohemian landscape. You will be able to walk through the ballroom, through the rooms that were once inhabited by Prince Cantacuzino. If the walls could talk, the stories told would surely impress us.

From the balcony of the Castle the view is wonderful. From there you can admire how the mountains pierce the sky, to show that they are invincible. The Cross of the Heroes of the Nation on Caraiman is easy to see looking from the balcony.
If the hall of honor with marble stairs delighted your gaze inside the Castle, outside of it you will be able to admire the beautifully landscaped Inner Court along the path of which you will reach the wooden Church founded by the Cantacuzino family or the hunting tower on the eastern side of the castle.
