How nature helps you get rid of problems and become optimistic

 width=For many of us, relaxation means lounging on the couch and watching TV, or going out to a movie with friends. Even if these activities bring us a state of well-being, our body and mind do not reach that state of revitalization that we need. We often face states of lethargy, irritability, insomnia, sadness. As we try to solve our daily problems, it sometimes seems that new ones appear endlessly. This vicious circle does us no good in the long run.

These thoughts grind us all and fortunately, there are affordable remedies. The most accessible is nature. Yes, nature itself is an infinite resource of anti-stress treatments.

A walk in nature and PAJ Technique

Did you know that most of our thoughts are divided into 3 categories: Plans, Memories and Judgments?

To free your mind from any thought, go for a walk in nature and focus on breathing. Try to pay attention to every movement, to the colors and smells around you. If a thought appears, identify which category [P, A or J] it is and release it. Notice how as you “label” thoughts, they magically disappear? Continue the exercise by doing the same with the rest of the thoughts that appear. If you encounter difficulties, ask yourself: what is the next thought? The mental screen is empty and you live in the present.

The magic stone

During your walk, choose a stone that you like and take it with you. Find a place to stop for a few minutes and while holding the stone, focus on a wish, goal or just a positive thought for 5 or Ten minutes. It is an ideal opportunity for meditation. Then continue your walk and return to the activities proposed for that day, keeping the pebbles at hand. From time to time, take the stone out of your pocket and thus you will remember the desire and the state of calm during the meditation.

If you practice these exercises for a few days, you will gradually notice how you will become calmer, more optimistic. Instead of everyday anxiety, a calmness will be installed that will allow you to be creative and find solutions to your problems more easily, instead of endlessly facing the same vicious circles that I mentioned at the beginning of the article.
