Bloody tales of Bran Castle
The cone of shadow in which Romania and its beautiful places were, are now just a memory. For some time, we are on the map of the places to visit in Europe, and this can only make us happy. Besides the foreign movies that were filmed here and the celebrities from the cinema world who left with a beautiful memories about Romania, our country came to the attention of National Geographic.
After the great success with „Bloody Tales of the Tower”, National Geographic decided to start a new series called „Bloody Tales of Europe”. „Bloody Tales of the Tower” was a mini-series of three episodes about the appalling reputation received by the Tower of London. The screams of terror of traitors who were tortured here are the ones that provided the Tower of London with a place in the sinister history of the capital city of England.
The filming in Romania for the mini-series „Bloody Tales of Europe” takes place these days and is a great promotional opportunity for us. The episodes will present Bran Castle and the personality of Vlad Tepes. The show hosts, Joe Croley and Suzannah Lipscomb arrived on Sunday in the country and have already started filming. Monday they filmed at Castle Bran, and now they are filming in the Stakes Forest in Targoviste area.
The project is also supported by two Romanian documentarists: historian Matei Cazacu and Adrian Smith from Fitzwilliam Museum. In fact, Matei Cazacu is a Romanian-born French who fights for human rights in the Association for the Protection of Historic Monuments in Romania. Since 1977 he worked with several radio stations including Vocea Romaniei, BBC, Voice of America, Radio France Internationale.
Adrian Smith is a keeper of the department of medals and coins of the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge. He teaches numismatics to students at Cambridge University and at the Institute of Archaeology in London.
It seems that Brasov area is an attraction and has won its place among the National Geographic documentaries.
Again, if this was still needed, we were proven that we have a wonderful country, and that Brasov area is worth visiting.
